Background

 

First Steps Physical Therapy's highly experienced staff includes Carol Manno PT and Regina Kaplan PT. Both therapists draw from many years of pediatric training and have specialized continuing education in Neurodevelopmental Treatment, sensory processing intervention, orthopedics and high-risk infant evaluation.

 
 

Carol Manno, PT

Carol received her BS in Physical Therapy from Ithaca College. She has practiced pediatric physical therapy for over 20 years. She trained at Children's Hospital and Health Center in San Diego. Carol has extensive postgraduate training in pediatrics, including the NDT/Bobath Certificate Course in the Treatment and Management of Children with Cerebral Palsy and the NDT advanced baby training. Her additional training includes kinesiotaping and myofascial release. She has been in the Doylestown area for over 14 years performing private practice, home care, and school based therapy.

 

Regina O'Brien Kaplan, PT

Regina received her BS in Physical Therapy from Ithaca College and began her PT career at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. While at HUP, she worked in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and participated in the developmental follow-up of high-risk infants. Her pediatric experience was broadened at Miami Children's Hospital where she worked for six years in the NICU and the outpatient clinic. Regina came to First Steps Physical Therapy in 2002 and continues to provide experienced pediatric developmental intervention for a wide range of children with special needs. She has completed the NDT/Bobath Certificate Course in the Treatment and Management of Children with Cerebral Palsy.
